of the parents i know, it's a complete mixed bag. kids are usually in bed by 8 at the latest anyways. depending on exhaustion level, some stay up, some don't.

but i will say, staying up until midnight on new years every year is the single hardest time i ever stay up that late.

i'm up until 12-1:00 at least once a week just plain screwing around, not even thinking about it...

I dunno, mf ghost always seemed more forced and unrealistic to me. I found it was easier to mostly suspend disbelief with initial d with the custom built nature going against r-31's and s2000's than mf ghost realistically taking on amg's, r35's, and lfa's.

Some of it has to do with the more grassroots nature of initial D's storyline, it just holds too sharp a contrast to mf ghosts professional racing league surprise underdog storyline.

The narration just somehow feels less genuine and more forced to me...

The real answer is probably that apps in CarPlay have to conform to the rules. Like there can probably only be audio apps (Spotify, Amazon Music, etc.), map apps (Google Maps, Waze, etc.) but can't be stuff like YouTube, Amazon Video, etc.

Your best bet is probably just using the display mirror feature of your head unit, if it has one.

Depends.

Back in my drinking days, we would arrive at a friends new years eve party, early, with our baby. Feed and change the baby, and put him to bed in their guest bed room. People would arrive and toss their coats on the bed in the guest bed room and come out exclaiming "there is a baby in there!" under all those coats.

We would be the last to leave (to avoid the drunk driver check points - which would close at 5 AM). By then most all the coats would be off the baby and we would bundle him up and head home.



After we quit drinking (about 25 years ago) and since "my wife ain't much fun since I quit drinken", we are doing good to stay up to midnight.

We usually get told to take it into the garage, which is heated, and has a ping pong table. If it isn't raining we will bundle up, light up the fire pit, and hang out over there.
