The sad part is that Hobby Lobby had shelves full of that kit for years after it came out in 2008 and probably gave the bloody things away.
Odds are Revell altered the molds to do the 2009 kits so they will never make the 08 again.

I got a cool model for Christmas. I had snoopy and the red baron as a very young boy and spent hours having dog fights all over the house. I bought an original snoopy about 20 years ago, and now I have both. I don't care it's a re-release, I'm not a collector. I'm going to build both and play with them.

I may pick these up and do them with a realistic finish. Would be fun.

I got the Lego Saturn V and the separate Lego Lunar Module kits as gifts. Looking forward to these. I built the Reville Saturn V when I was about 10.

Does he have the Saturn V standing up or on the side stands? I feel like standing up it would be in constant danger of being knocked over.

On it's side. He did have it standing up and your fear is warranted.

I know the current rockets aren't just a one-trick ponies but there is something so much sexier about the Saturn V.

I believe they say that if you are under 9 you may need an adult to assist.
The simplicity is why I think it would be funny to do a realistic finish on it.
