Noisy sound from JRSC , Edelbrock and Harrop SuperCharger
hi All
I had read quite a few post regarding the JRSC , Edelbrock and some Harrop , so I assume I have some basic understanding for these SC. However , there are something I am not sure about. It is regarding the noisy sound for these SC. For JRSC , I read something like , you can only hear the sound in very slow speed, or high rev situation , in the normal driving , it is difficult to notice any SC sound. However , I also read few post stated that , JRSC can sounds like a plane take off , quite sound. And many said the Edelbrock's sound isn't much , hard to notice. And very rare to see any post regarding Harrop SC's sound. I know different people have different taste for the sound. But still , this really make me wonder what is it like in the real world , as I cannot find a specified post for those SC sound. ![]() If any these SC user can share their experience for the sound , it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

I can't hear my edelbrock at all. I've had it on for about 55k miles, somewhat quite non-catted exhaust with aftermarket headers. Also, running the second smallest pulley made.

For example , I am not going to use the typical catless after market header , I either go for a catted header or keep the stock header. Also I have no intention to modify my cat-back too. Only want to keep the sound and excitement to myself , without bother others. The only mod I had so far is the TRD Sound Changer , I installed the RED version , to get myself some excitement for the sound. ![]() https://www.ftspeed.com/part/2013-20...r#.YcKG7fZBycs |

I was on stock setup with ethanol and aftermarket tune when the engine blew at 45k miles supercharged, 59.5k on engine. I believe it blew due to some bad gas in louisiana as there had previously been some bucking during cruise. Had been running the tune for quite a while at that point.
