Yeah, and if he hit the brakes too early he could have lost that time as well.

Maximum attack. Giving it everything. Making it look dangerous. That style of driving is why I like Max. That level of risk doesn’t always work out unfortunately, as we saw today.

But you can’t help but just stare when somebody goes for it like that.

What in the living fuck is happening in this race. Did Masi really just suggest for Max to restart behind Mercedes? Even though he should be penalized for going off track to recover his position.

Best drive from Ham all year. It’s incredibly difficult to compete with a driver who is A) leading you in points and B) willing to crash into you at every overtake attempt.

Max was willing to write off both cars at least 3 times that race, 1 one which looked pretty egregious that thankfully Ham was smart enough to see coming.

He hasn't, this is just how Max normally drives when challenged, it's just been awhile since there's been a circuit where an actual rival can't just drive around him with drs or pit strategy.

Lewis had to pass Max what 4 times that race? And Max never made it clean, Lewis grabs fast lap with a damaged wing, absolute goat.

Arguably it saved him from being rear-ended by Bottas.

He did try to give the place back 3 times. And got a penalty for his trouble.
