+1 Even if it's not as detailed as the original, they'll still try and copy it! I've seen horrible variants of Air Jordans that you can totally tell it's fake.

I'd say that's more of a quality control issue, although it's weird that Ford couldn't get this right (although I don't know, when I was really little my parents took me to Chicago and rented a Ford Taurus whose gas tank leaked...we found out when the car refused to start, and then we look and there's this GIANT puddle under the car). My family lives in China, few of my extended family have rather cheap (some Chinese brand even) cars, but they work very smoothly and are built pretty well.

Essentially what is lacking in China is a market for higher quality goods since it's still relatively poor, when the time comes more original and higher quality stuff will arrive.
