Not convinced there was a joke there. At least not on Sound's part.

It's more fun if there was, so I'm going with that.

I can't believe how lazy scientists are. We should have been doing this a long time ago.

considering the losses in the conversion, and the losses in burning the hydrogen to re-create water, wouldn't that defy the first law of thermodynamics?

Had he pushed hydrogen, that's where we would be now, and likely further along. However, he isn't a fan of hydrogen, went all in on electric and now everyone is catching up. If Honda or Toyota or GM had gone all in on Hydrogen 15 years ago it would be the standard. They spent too much time "playing with it" while protecting their legacy business model.

It is used quite extensively for fleet operations in Europe for about 10 years now so it is completely possible even with todays storage and handling methods. It is fun to read all the comments of "it takes so much energy and waste to create compared to fossil fuels" since they tend to ignore the impact of drilling for, transporting and processing crude oil for gasoline. We are looking at using hydrogen in one of our manufacturing processes so I have had to do some deep research. I have found that a lot of what I thought I knew was really more oil company/Musk propaganda than fact.

I figured now that I have an apartment with more space this year, I'd get a small fake christmas tree.
So I went to Target for some other stuff, saw their unlit tree boxes, and grabbed a 3ft one thinking that'd be sufficient. Weeell, took it out of the box and it's way too short. I think maybe they include the pot base thing in that measurement (I don't have a measuring tape handy). Guess I'll be making a trip back to Target and probably get a 4.5ft or 5.5ft one.

needed to edge my lawn.
for the first year, the house came with a 'free' gas edger, there were a number of leaks in the tank somehow, it leaked gas faster than it used it. gave it to my sister. second year, i thought i'd be smart and get an electric one. ![]() that worked horrible. it only went into the ground about a 1/2", and required constant retouching. first time out, i started modifying it trying to get it to cut a deeper trench to hold shape longer... so today, i made my own. ![]() works great. just don't tell milwaukee when i warranty the weed trimmer later.
