It's my own prejudices and is flavored by my own life, but those are the ones I get the least.
They are in the highest group for negative effects from COVID. At this point, even if there are negative effects it's down the road a good ways, and likely past the end of their road. As I've told folks, sure there could be long term effects, but if there are, I'll just be glad to still be alive to have them! Hopefully the first ones won't show up for 30 years. But, at the end of the day, I'm pro-vax anti-mandate, so I can only say so much.

It depends on their definition of "recovered recently" as to whether its a practical recognition doesn't it?

Why the fuck do people create so much opposition to a PROVEN vaccine but some speculative unproven medicine?

Also its really been proven to work for about 6 months or so. A lot of people don't want to be signing up for shots every 6 months for a disease with a very low mortality rate. Also a lot of medical people do not view it as a "Vaccine" but instead as prophylactic. It doen't act as a traditional "vaccine". But it does seem to do a good job acting as a prophylactic (reducing symptoms). We are on now two admistrations that have handled this poorly. The COVID reaction is a symptom of distrust sewn by clickbait echo chamber media. Also there is a psychological phenomenon called "disaster fatigue" or "compassion fatigue". In this setting it would actually be the people closest to the danger/disaster who just hit that "fuck it...I don't care anymore" stage. For me, it was hard getting exposed to this everyday at my job when there was not a treatment available...and now people who have had the luxury to quarantining and collecting checks are telling me I need to take a vaccine so they feel safer. Many of healthcare workers have hit that point. There is no way to reduce your danger to zero for this. Just do the best you can. The big issue is where my rights and your rights collide. Anyway, stay safe friends. |

The lack of trust in government has been building for decades and has far less to to with the media than with having its seeds sown and cultivated by a certain group of unscrupulous politicians.

Also you might want to reconsider the words you use. Prophylactic: guarding from or preventing the spread or occurrence of disease or infection https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/prophylactic Edit: Captain beat me to it |

Right, but vaccines typically last a very long time (forever or years).
I am NOT saying the "vaccine" is bad. I am saying it is mislabled and the definition of "vaccine" was changed in the last 18 months. That is why a lot of people don't trust it. I am just filling you in on what some people think...or why they are skeptical. I agree that the government has been doing us dirty a long time in the US and I think with more news sources, people are awakening to it. BTW the current vaccines don't really prevent the disease. Many prophylactics do prevent, but some just reduce symptoms. The Peanut Butter shot for the military was mentioned earlier. That is a good example. I am not trying to be confrontational fellas. |
