TIL I'll never own a Corvette, at least not a C7.

It was on my short list for my next car adventure. I have driven several and was very happy with the driver's side, but now I've ridden in the passenger side. The passenger side is tiny and cramped, feels like an afterthought. MomHawk would never approve.

Oh well.

How is one side any different than the other?

The passenger side feels narrower, the seat doesn't seem to go as far back o rdown, and you sit almost straight up in it the entire time. Even after spending several minutes with the adjustments, I could not find a comfortable position.

It could all be just be "feels like" and it may not be smaller, I didn't take a tape to it, but it feels like the center console is skewed slightly to the passenger side, and the handhold is in the way. My next car will be for road trips, so MomHawk gets a vote (well, she always does because my cars tend to be our road trip cars).

I didn't sit in it, but I thought the exact same thing when I checked one out at a car show a couple months ago.

Today I was reminded that when contracting with third parties to produce documentation like IRPs or SOPs, make sure to hire one which does not sell a products related to the subject matter. Otherwise you end up writing a check for someone to deliver a customized advertisement for whatever products they sell. Often at the expense of the relevancy of the document you asked for.

Particularly annoying when I have to review and suggest edits to a document someone else contracted. I spent all afternoon deleting entire sections and charts from this thing. My justification has been links to the vendor's website where they advertise features listed as "requirements" that otherwise seem completely off the rails for what was requested. Two of the charts were directly taken from the product they sell.

Doesn't mater if it's software vendors, or mechanics. People either GAF, or they don't. Sad reality.

Thankfully no references to blinker fluid that I've found yet, but only on page 38 of 53.

TIL I got a raise in September that nobody told me or my new company (that bought my division) about.

I also learned that I forgot to adjust my tax withholding when my wife lost her job (filing jointly is weird).

This is going to be an interesting week...
