So which wait period is the worse? Waiting from your order date to knowing your VIN, waiting from knowing your VIN to having an ETA to the dealer, or finally waiting from knowing your ETA to the dealer to picking it up.
I say the worst wait is the first one from ordering to knowing your VIN. It’s the longest and nothing happens to give you a sense of process.

The wait for the Vin was probably the worst because you are just waiting with no idea on a timeline... But I feel like the wait intensifies each step! I have my ETA to the dealer now which is the 16th, but my car has already finished at the port and is just sitting waiting to be picked up.

I feel like the wait wouldn't be quite as bad for me if Winter wasn't just around the corner. I actually considered ordering in the Winter for a Spring delivery, but I'm not sure if used car prices will stay so high for that long.

Good news!

Called Subaru to bother them with my monthly call. The estimated delivery date has moved from Jan 2022 to Dec 2021 so hopefully I get a sick Christmas present for myself!

Got my VIN! Expected to come week of 11/11 but salesman said it could be delayed due to lack of car carriers.

Ordered in Rockville, MD 8 hours after the orders opened. WRB 6MT limited.

Made sure to let the dealer know to not fuel or wash the car, just the minimum amount of inspection/work to deliver the car.

These two weeks are going to be the longest two weeks of this process!

same here, ordered the week when orders opened up and just got my vin through SOA. Its arriving sometime this month, I cant wait!
