So under $1000 worth of stuff for 2800? Who buys into this crap?!

Yeah I heard Five Star will have a bit. They even told a buddy of mine who ordered a red one, that I should cancel mine and go with them. They will have allocations. BUT I assume those that came in not ordered will be marked up! I won't be cancelling mine.

Also to the gentleman that asked where I did mine, I pre-ordered at Huffines.

Congrats, hoping I get similar news soon. Birthday is coming up, this would be a perfect gift/surprise.

Congrats!

Did you get your VIN yet? If so, when did you get it?

So I've been sniffing around on the unallocated WRB Lims that are out there. There was another dealer in FL, but they too had markups. Some appearance package they said they had always had pre pandemic for 1300ish and a "market adjustment" of 1400. So I said good day sir.

Late last night ****ing around on the cap 1 app I found another WRB Lim manual that wasn't on cars.com. Also it was only 80 miles away. Talked with them today and it was unclaimed and due next next month. It also has no dumb markups. It has a few extras I'm not interested in, but nothing too useless. It also has a short throw shifter. So I put a res in on it. I'm waiting to see if they can get close to the other trade offers I have.

Would you expect trade offers to get you a lot more than e.g., selling to CarMax? I had a 2017 WRX and wanted avoid any of the trade offer negotiation crap and just sold it to CarMax for straight cash; I got more than I expected because of the insane used car market.

Not more, no. I told them CarMax made me a really good offer, and they agreed that they were paying really high, but they wanted to see if they could get close. I'm still thinking over the logistics/timing of doing the trade to Carmax first. They gave you cash? I'm not sure I'm comfortable having a wad of cash lol.

Everyone in Texas with a Vin is getting the 11/16 date. Where's the party at?

Figure of speech. I have the luxury of not needing a daily at the moment, so I just took the CarMax offer (they give you a check).
