Do the front seat backs in the 2022s have release latches at the outboard shoulder? Does that mean it will remember recline position now? I haven't read any comments about the seats anywhere. I don't suppose the passenger side will also slide forward and then remember where it was set when flipped back?

The mental gymnastics are getting ridiculous. If you don’t like the 2nd Gen that’s fine, it’s a good enough reason on its own. No need to try and rationalize it by latching on to the most insignificant things.

i don't want a 2nd gen, but it is fun coming up with reasons why it sucks to rationalize my preconceived disposition.

Objectively, lol.

You win. Your joke is better.

Serious question. Which is better? A 1974 Carrera RSR, or a couple year old GT3? I know which one I would rather own.

Steering feel? Most of the reviewers have commented on this. Also I like how the earlier 1st gen models had no buttons on the steering wheel.

Clutching at straws really…but things to consider.

The steering wheel is a carryover from the 2020. I think most reviewers are just comparing it to the 2013 car, not the outgoing 2020. The facelift steering wheel has a bit more padding than the 2013-2016 and people attributed that to the slightly reduced steering feel on the 2017+ models.

Is it actually easy to turn off? I know folks have said that, but one of the deeper review videos someone posted here said they couldn't find that option. Have we had anyone actually demonstrate how to shut that feature off?

It probably wouldn't be the reason to not buy the car for me, however even I admit I wouldn't be thrilled about listening to the Gran Tursimo 2-quality engine soundtrack every time I drove the car for the next ten years.

The owners manual says it can be disabled at the dealership.
Although there might be even easier ways, such as pulling a fuse, or disconnecting one of the cables.

yeah, i didn't like the thicker steering wheel on the refresh, but i didn't think the specs of the 2nd gen indicated much changed mechanically...

You may be able to swap the 2013-2016 steering wheel if the airbags are compatible.

There are minor mechanical changes to the steering rack, Savagegesse talks about it here. Around 6:10 to 6:40 in the review.
