I've been burned way too many times by this franchise to buy a Sony console ever again.
Half finished games, reusing models from old games, ect.
3.5 min video, barely 30 seconds of actual gameplay. Why do game companies always do this shit.

Now that Sony has started releasing games on Steam I'm hopping it shows up there.

Game releases everywhere at 1 past midnight. Too bad, I'm still asleep. BUT the wife is at work tomorrow so the plan is.
Get up, take wife to work, come home, go for a walk and grab a coffee on the way, come home then plant myself down in front of my computer.
I'm set.

This is different, a game I'm actually looking forward to. Hasn't happened in a while.

I should've taken today off. I guess I'll have to download the game while the parents are visiting for dinner.

According to Tom's Hardware review, it seems that FC6 was released with AMD support from the get go. It is, after all, an AMD sponsored game. Drivers and patches were released for AMD GPUs and as of this moment, AMD GPUs have the edge on performance.

NVIDIA has yet to release any drivers, but the performance on the 1440p and 4K is not too bad, just trailing behind RX6000 series GPUs.
If you're playing on anything less than a RTX3000 or RX6000, FPS is around 60-80 FPS for medium 1080p settings.
If you're using DXR, expect to see a 20% decrease in performance.

What's the big deal about Far Cry 6? I played all previous parts and I think that there aren't any differences between 3 - 5. Is the 6th part any different?

Thoughts at about an hour.
The intro was really well done. I didn't even attempt to fast forward.
I removed the high res texture pack. I was getting slight jittering? when panning. The world still looks good without it. It's nice but unnecessary imo at 2k.
Some of the scenes remind me of beach scenes in Crysis.
I like Ubisoft key mapping. All keys are available to rebind. Small unimportant detail: the default keys still show on screen after rebinding. Don't get me started on Cyberpunk bindings.
The world map looks huge.

To answer your question:no.
More of the same which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it doesn't seem to bring anything new to the game from what I have played so far.
It's a beautiful spring day here, I left the game to go and do some gardening.
