The 17" wheels are listed now... 17x7.5 ET48. I'm guessing the fitment is the same as the 1st gen, but I want to be sure before I order my Winters.

I'm also wondering if the fitment is the same for the floor mats.

How does this affect us? I was told the parts ordered with the car will be on the window sticker and legal for ST classes. I ordered all the STI body pieces.

Only port installed is allowed in ST. Only port installed will be on the window sticker because those are printed at the port. You can certainly order dealer-installed when you order a car, they just get added once they arrive at your store and won't be on the Monroney.

You likely won't get protested at a local event ever, and probably won't get protested at a national event until you start to do well. If you win a tour or pro with an OEM splitter on the front, you probably have paper coming your way.

So do these parts not come with the car from the port? My dealer told me the parts I ordered would be shipped with the car from the port, and I couldn't modify my order any more since it's likely already in production.

What parts specifically are you talking about? The vortex generator and fender garnishes are about the only port-installed appearance option besides the vinyl door logo that would be legal. Front, side, and rear lip kit, rear diffusor, and trunk spoiler are all dealer-installed only and will not be legal in ST*. They won't ship with the car, the dealer would have to order them and install them for you.

Damn, so my front lip will bump me into STX? This is like my wheel offset all over again lol.

Whelp I’ve never ran tires that are competitive in STX, guess I won’t start now.

Wait. Nevermind I read the wrong. Dealer installed parts are NOT legal in STX?

No, dealer installed parts are not allowed in ST. Port installed parts are allowed.

But, the front lip is only dealer installed, so not legal in Street Touring.

So it must be from the standard manufacturer’s US accessory catalog, AND listed in the Solo rules class appendix specifically by model? That’s awfully restrictive for a manufacturer lip kit lol.

Solo rules for ST*:

Quote:
standard part An item of standard or optional equipment that could have been ordered with the car and delivered through a dealer in the United States. Manufacturer options that are dealer-installed, port-in- stalled, or parts provided by the manufacturer are considered to be the same as those installed on the factory production line. Manufacturer
options which are dealer-installed must be specifically listed in Appen- dix A in order to be eligible. Dealer options, accessories, or deletions (except as required by factory directives), no matter how common or what their origin, are not included in this definition. This definition does not allow the updating or backdating of parts.
Quote:
F. Addition of spoilers, splitters, rear wings, bumper covers, valances, side skirts, and non-functional scoops/vents is allowed provided that either:
1. It is a production part which is standard or optional equipment of a
US model of the vehicle. (“Model” is defined in Section 12.)
2. It is listed in the vehicle manufacturer’s US accessory catalog for that vehicle for normal highway use. This does not allow for parts sold through a manufacturer’s performance catalog (e.g., Ford Racing, HPD, Mazdaspeed, Mopar Performance, Mugen, NISMO, SPT, TRD,
etc).
Parts must be installed as directed by the manufacturer. Exact replicas, including weight, from alternate sources are also permitted.

That's confusing AF! It does say dealer installed is the same as port installed... But do these parts count as being "provided by the manufacturer"? Or from a "performance catalog"?

The wording that kills the "retailer installed options" on your order sheet is "manufacturer options which are dealer installed must specifically be listed in Appendix A."

IIRC, this rule was either written or clarified for the TRD spring kits on the first gen FRS? I would imagine it's to prevent "well MY dealer said these 4-way adjustable remote reservoir coilovers were a factory option".

Yea I can’t imagine the purpose of the rule was to keep people from adding a cosmetic lip kit.
