What to do about neighbors - Page 2 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I’m not a fan of police in my neighborhood. I just bought my house 3 months ago and would prefer not to be the white dude on the block snitching to cops all the time. Could be naivety, but I’d like to at least maintain the faith of being a good citizen improves my block for at least 8 more months.

Checked their breaker box, and it’s not accessible where they wouldn’t notice me shut them down.

In light of the whole “good citizen” thought, I’ll be holding off on getting a box of those glass vial sink bombs and a sling shot. Next weekend, I’m going to try showing up with a handful of dudes on my block and telling them no music rather than turning their bs down.

I don't think that kind of personal escalation is worth it. That is basically showing up ready to fight and is what it projects. Put up some home security if you are worried about retaliation, but you are still better off calling it in. Fuck what people think about you snitching, you live there too.

HOA's tend to swing the opposite way. yes they generally prevent this sort of thing, but also cripple uses of your own property...

Maybe try bringing some nice homemade food over and see if they'll get you some of their homemade grub.

My friend did something similar and they love having him over now. Food and drinks for days.

We live in a vacation area of sorts. We had friends that had a similar issue. They took to blasting music directly at offending neighbors bedrooms early in the AM. As they were up late they wanted to sleep late,, tough to do when the music is blaring. Tit for tat.
