It's all interesting. Hindsight will, as always, be a key player in the evolving body of knowledge.

Quote:
I recall one time I got a boil on my leg. Grandpa mixed up some horse liniment with some mustard seeds and some other stuff and made a poultice to draw out the boil. Yep, slapped that stuff on and then wrapped my leg up with a strip of feed sack and tied it up with some baling twine. About a week later I mentioned that my leg was hurting so my grandpa unwrapped my poultice. You guessed it, it was good and infected. Time for plan B. He summoned my father to hold me down while he sharpened up his pen knife and heated the blade up over a blowtorch. Then and there I learned what "dig out the core" and "cauterize" the wound meant - Yep, it finally healed up. I still have a hole (sunken spot) in my leg from that operation. THE END |

If it actually has some positive affect when used properly, the fda, media and others are gonna be up the creek even farther in terms of public trust/approval

It seems like they continuously test people til they get a positive result. Then they give them a 10 day quarantine and forget about them.

It won't bother any of those folks one bit; being factually incorrect has never stopped many people from having firm, immutable opinions.

"Conclusions: Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally. that's great news! the problem for me was never to debate whether it worked or not, but people rushing to buy OTS versions before any medical evidence was studied/generated to prove it's effectiveness or side effects
i really don't like this whole 'lets jump to the forefront of medicine before the doctors do' thing many people seem to be taking on...
