Hopefully the audio on the Premium trim version isn't terrible like it was on my '15 Limited BRZ.
You and me both. Although its a plus that I like the cleaner front end on the Toyota and really hate the license plate cut-out on the BRZ.

I am very interested in the limited sound system. I spent about $800 upgrading my current 2020 WRB Limited BRZ sound system (same head unit, all different speakers, lots more power), so I actually am very happy with my sound system now. But if the limited is pretty good out of the box, I won't feel compelled to spend that much (or any) if/when I get the GR86.

so is neptune blue a pearl or metallic?
I think it pretty clearly is not pearl or metallic - just by looking at it. Heck, that is half the point of that color.

I do like the front end better and the ducktail as well. Although that will quickly be available in the aftermarket.

Either way, I'll still probably wait until next year until more details are out and such. The fiance and I both work from home permanently and share a car. I sold ridiculous NC back in March, because I'd 900 miles on it 1 year.

Neptune Blue for me.

My thoughts:

It is a non-metallic base paint - it will be easier to repaint panels or body kits parts with a high chance of it matching.

The Porsche Miami blue pairs well with black wheels.

As far as wheels go I think 18" Gram Lights 57xtreme or Enkei RS05RR in a satin black - same sheen that matches the black plastics.

Pair that with a black plastic (look) front lip and canard to calm down that lower rocker line I think you'll have a tidy car.

Never thought I would own a white car but as soon as I saw the GR86 in halo white I knew it was the right color and really sold me on the Toyota over the BRZ in WRB that I had initially planned on getting. I’m going to be camping out at the dealership the night before reservations start.

Halo. I've owned 4 of these cars now over the last generation. I'm interested in this new red color (the old one wasn't that great) but I think white shows the lines the greatest on it. Out of the last 4 I had the old ultramarine blue and halo white were (in my opinion) the nicest looking colors on this car - I'm thinking Bred and Halo will be the nicest this generation. I also did like that Subaru BRZ Blue.

Saw the red in person and it looks HELLA better than any red I've seen on a Toyota so far (including the Supra). It POPS out so much more and like the guy from Toyota who let me check out the car said: "Its more like Ferrari red."

That red definitely reinforced my decision to get "Track bRed".

I would also like to add that my Toyota contact said the red is not a red Toyota has used before - it should have a unique paint code and thus the paint is all new. Toyota Canada is still in the process of negotiating with HQ on the pricing and details so nothing has been revealed yet beyond Toyota Canada doors.

And guys/gals - the car is every bit the reviews say it is.

FYI to those who are interested: the track bred / ignition red paint code is DCK
