My Echo string trimmer wouldn't start this spring after 20 years of use.
The saran wrap diaphragms in the carb gave up finally.

A genuine Echo replacement carb was $65 on the web.
I got a cheap chinese knock off instead for $10.

The trimmer is going again. Aintn't broke still.

About the size of a largish die (#1-6).
The whole carb for $10, 2 screws out with the old, in with the new.
Didn't even have to use the ecutek or drive app.

Though it's possible to get a couple more squidpower I suppose.

It appears the only way you could screw up that operation, is to put the fuel filter on backwards -

Details, work them out later. What better than to enjoy your time in the throne while in the commodity of your living room.

Tell me about it. We dodged a home maintenance bullet today. Thought we had a leak in our water main coming into the house, and it was potentially under the driveway. The first estimate we got to repair was $800 if it was a simple fix and $9,000 if they had to replace the water main under the driveway. But first, we needed to do a $400 leak detection to find out where it was. Thanks but no thanks.

Called a local independent guy recommended by my independent AC guy (which is what I should have done first). Turns out it was the cut-off for our sprinkler system which was colocated with our water meter (I did not know that). Couple of hundred bucks later, all fixed. And, he worked in a downpour from Ida today to do it even though I told him it could wait. "Hey, if I let it wait I'll miss a job I could do tomorrow, and its not like I haven't worked in the rain before".

The man got a nice tip from me and a good review online so his company would give him a bonus. They also have a customer for life (or at least until they piss me off).

The toilet I'm replacing still works, just not that good, plus I have other bathrooms.

I want to put one in the back deck so I can bird watch while on the throne. Wife poo pooed the idea.

Today have been K-Power day. Everywhere I look, it's all K-Power. It doesn't matter, in forum or social media. I'm somewhat interested to see how that works for ppl who buy the kit.

It's always good to see more aftermarket companies making more parts for the twins.
