Looks like Intel has entered the "Graphics Cards Companies" chat.
https://www.pcmag.com/news/intel-spi...t-architecture A bit confusing read. Doesn't help that Intel isn't being specific on what exactly the specs are. I guess they are seeing the gold mine GPUs are at the moment with the 2 billion revenues from INVIDIA. But then again, they have been in the game for a while, and just the sales from the 3090s have outsold all of AMD 6000 series. So I'm no sure how Intel plans on standing out in front of two giants.

Decided to give Forza Horizon 4 another go. Let me tell you, if you can get behind the fact that most cars sound like the 90s versions of racing games, slapping a v8 in a MX-5 ensures a ton of fun.

I think Intel is toying with the idea of Ray Tracing. If their performance is close or equal to Nvidia, it might be worth something to look at.

If Intel came up with a discrete GPU that stood up to the 2nd tier (I never buy top tier) of AMD, I'd consider one if nothing else than to have an AMD CPU and Intel GPU. Opposite Day!

Started playing Aliens Fireteam and I'm actually pretty pleased with it.
Thus far, the only 2 complaints I have are the lack of mic and text support. So it's impossible to communicate without something like discord. And the second is how every damn Aliens game just can't seem to get the M41A pulse rifle canonically right!! In the film it had a 99-round mag and an underslung grenade launcher. And this game denies us that ability! Either way, I had fun for a few hours.

Anyone try splitgate? Decently fun but a bit shallow imo.

The 3070ti is a dream. Loud, but is because that thing never sees anything higher that 66 degrees. I might have to improve my case since there is only one exhaust and I have noticed warmer air coming out of it. The air intake is a bit restricted by the case, H510 mid tower.

I have the windowless version and it’s fantastic. Thermals will be a bit worse with the window though, and with the steel side panel you can fit a Noctua NHU12A in it. That was the decider for me. Either way it’s super nice to build in as all 5 sides come off (I/O side stays on),so cable management is surprisingly easy for how tiny it is. I have a big air cooler, a 3 slot 280mm gpu, a full size ATX PSU, two 2.5” SSDs, and 3 fans in mine. |

I gave up on small cases, or silence focused cases. They destroy parts and are still loud at full bore.
Phanteks P400A now with a pair of 140mm and a 120mm (mod) Noctua intake fans is quieter. I do have a pair of exhaust fans in the top/bad corner to keep air off the CPU (big Noctua cooler) moving, worth a couple degrees on the cpu. Next up is fiddling to see if directing air around the GPU can reduce it's temps any. They're decent, but I'd like a little cooler if I can pull it off.
