I'm not going to agree with you and that's fine. It's an opinon and if you're confident in yours, then mind shouldn't bother you. I have my reasons and you'd not agree. You have yours and I don't agree. I think there's a work around and it's my opinion that it is worth it.

I have a 2013 frs in auto and I love it. I’ve driven mt frs before and it’s nice but the auto is more suited for my daily driving and I don’t track or autoX either. Ohh yeah, my wife doesn’t care for manuals nor one knows how but loves the frs since she gets to drive it, being auto and all

My truck is auto(couldn't get the body style with a stick). I drive it in manual mode half the time because me and the trans have different concepts on shift points

you never know someone's use case scenario. the manual is great... but i just took a vacation to downtown LA. I would not want to drive a manual through that mess. And I'm a die hard manual guy with a 6spd gt3 and m3.

wife currently has a tlx which is boring af. if i can convince her to trade in for a 2022 86, even if its an auto, its still a win in my book.

just waiting to see how 'refined' it is now. my big gripe with the last gen car was the annoying rattles inside.

If I were buying a 2022 86, which I'm not for reasons I've stated, I would consider the MT this time, but only because they didn't add the one thing the AT needed, launch control. However, I do not regret a single one of the 190,000+ miles I've put on my AT FRS. Having a manual would have added nothing to the experience.
WRONG! (bolded part)

With the AT, you missed out on experiencing replacing the TOB, at least once in your 190,000 miles. -

REALLY!

This is what I learned on.

Try heel and toeing this set of puppies -

Now, I'm not saying I drove it by myself. Although I jumped off a 5 gal bucket onto the crank several times, it wouldn't fire. Finally my grandpa came along and showed me how to set the spark. Then made me promise I wouldn't start it up and drive it unless he was with me ...... and my mother couldn't see us -

So are you having fun with gummi pflege and felt tape for the F80 rattles? I couldn't believe how bad my 17 ZCP rattled. Sweet cars that make easy power.

I'm back here trying to find the lightweight fun car that isn't p-car price. The F8x cars were just too big and didn't do it for me. Maybe my 2nd time around with a modded twin will do the trick.

Meanwhile my 100k mile E90 is tight as a drum. BMW did a great job turning the interior build quality down on the F series. It’s better on the 5/6/7, but the 3 has some awful spots for finish and rattles. Really disappointing, I really don’t know where to go when I need to replace the E90. Eventually.

@ 9 minutes:
Twin disc clutch? What? It could this be a misinterpretation of the flex disc flywheel?

She also mentions new gearing on 2nd-3rd-4th and 5th. Did I miss that somewhere?

Is there something you wish to share with the class, Steve?

It’s a good choice. I like it as well.

I don't think the edgy splash guards were discussed yet?
Here are some screenshots from The Straight Pipes and Throttle House videos.
