I prefer the way the GR86 looks exterior wise, but I really like how the BRZ kept the red contrast stitching for the interior. It's so hard!!

I'm surprised that most seem to prefer the 86! Agreed on the stitching though

Oddly enough, the BRZ has grown on me. Especially after I saw it with all of the STI accessories attached. However, the TOM'S GR86 still reigns supreme for me. But yeah, not sure why, but the grey/white stitching of the 86 just seems so bland and meh.

Yeah, this looks awesome to me! I love the STi bits. And gosh..I can't believe how good that silver looks. Unlike CWP, it really takes on the color of its surroundings. I think I'm in the minority there as well, but I love it.

Also looks great in white (sorry potato quality—not many photos of it in white w/o STi wheels yet)

I LOVE the way it looks with all of the accessories with the car in white. Though I'd probably still sport the duckbill found on the GR86 as I'm not a fan of the one Subaru offers. And the goose neck will be preposterously expensive lol.

GR86! Agreed on the ducktail too. Although, a black one with some gold wheels would look good I suspect. A bit of a Black Limited tribute.

I'm going for the 86 (can always change bumpers if I really wanted to), but it doesn't look like I can order one yet. I like the GR brand more and I'm not crazy about the front license plate molding on the BRZ now that I've seen more photos.

Also, how cool is this:

Every 2022 GR 86 comes with a complimentary 1-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association (NASA). GR 86 owners will enjoy a host of benefits, including one free High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) and discounted admission to NASA-sanctioned events.

Congrats. Look forward to your build. I might grab one in 2-3 years

Having a PP-package or the exact specs of the GR (or BRZ) has yet to be announced, right?

I don't expect a PP-package on the first year... but that is definitely one item keeping me from jumping on a Year One version.

Correct don't expect anything for 2-3 years. Good news it appears brakes remain unchanged this current bbk could fit pending confirmation

I thought about waiting too but realized I replaced 2 of the 3 components that made up the PP last time around.

Easy enough to grab a set of CSG Brembos up front. Lower ROI to do the back so maybe I'll paint them like my ND came from the factory? Could I sleep at night knowing I had a frankenbrake setup? I guess we'll see :p

November according to my Subaru sales guy. I was able to get corporate pricing through work. So I’d say no problem getting MSRP. This isn’t a type r!

After a ton of back and forth between the BRZ and 86, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the BRZ! I had to listen to my gut. Everyone loves the 86, but I'm just such a fan of the BRZ bumper and the red interior.

Would have loved to have gone Toyota this time, but the tradeoffs weren't worth it to me. I also love the gunmetal OEM wheels over the black on the 86, even if they won't be on the car forever.

Here's my spec:

Trim: Limited
Transmission: Manual
Color: Crystal White Pearl (might change to silver)

0XZ: Auto-dimming HomeLink mirror
0Y2: Footwell Illumination
0Y7: STi Under Spoiler - Front
0YS: STi Under Spoiler - Rear Quarter
0Y9: STi Under Spoiler - Side
0XU: Fender Vent Accent
0Y4: Rear Bumper Diffuser
0XX: Trunk Spoiler
