Is it just me or does the Track bRed color look different in every video? It ranges from pure red to bright orange. Has anyone seen this in person?

Choosing a colour off photos or video is a mug's game. If you go through the Oceanic or Ultramarine colour threads in this forum the colour variances on display are so great it's sometimes hard to believe they are photos of the same paint.

I thought the paint codes are different between Subaru and Toyota? I'm not sure though, I can only see the Toyota paint codes for the FR-S/86 models.

Holy Blue balls that is precious. I can't afford to get all these new cars being introduced lately but I can dream, can't I? The Trueno Blue GR 86 next to the 2023 Nissan Z in blue and my Oceanic blue FR-S in the background lol.

I think they're slightly different colors.

+1.

I hated the photos of the red '17 BRZ on the Subaru website, but then changed my mind when I saw it in person, and here I am with a red '17.

They aren't. Toyota's pavement(P8Y) and Subaru's Magnetite grey metallic(P8Y) are the same code. The paint codes come from the paint supplier, the manufacturer gives the color a name.

Red, especially a pure and bright fire engine red, is notoriously difficult to photograph. That’s why it seems to look different in various photos and videos. Pure/bright red looking almost orange in photos is a pretty common issue.

I'm really digging the Neptune Blue. Reminds me of the blue of the Focus RS and Mustangs.
