Played the Back-4-Blood open beta this weekend on a team with my three sons. The campaign mode was promising and we played through the entire act they were making available.

The 4v4 PVP mode was meh. You play best of three rounds, each side playing the zombies and the humans. The goal in each round is to be the human team that survives the longest. I'm not a huge fan of PvP anyway since I don't play 24 hours a day, but this seemed particularly unbalanced. We held our own but I just frankly didn't enjoy it.

Just started day 3 of Tribes of Midgard. This game is kinda weird but very fun.

Team of up to 10 and you protect a tree lol. A mashup of defending a base every night (almost like a tower defense game but you can also do the work yourself), diablo styled walking around and killing, crafting, and giant killing. I've been in smaller parties with friends and larger random parties and the game doesn't REQUIRE communication but it goes a lot smoother with it.

Oh and you can customize your oddball viking.

EDIT: Almost forgot. A few friends got together online last night so we could all play Left4Dead for the first time. That game... is pretty garbage but it was entertaining for the 1.5 hours it takes to beat the campaign. It gets a big "meh" from me.

While doing my daily scouring for a GPU, and many, many failed attempts at the newegg shuffle, I decided to do a little research from companies like PNY, MSI, GIGABYTE.

While browsing the PNY website, which happens to be brand of my current 1660 Super, I wondered if PNY had other authorized vendors. But the results were the same, either Best Buy, Newegg, Amazon, and Microcenter to mention a few. All sold out.

Okay, but then I see their "Distributor" tab. Come across the "EXXACT" company. Which from what I understand, they offer computer solutions for companies. They also build stations like the likes of iBuyPower. I look into the "Consumer GPUs" tab and find a whole array of options. The only thing is that to see the price, you have to contact a sales rep. So I think, "Maybe it won't work, because I'm not affiliated with them nor do I work in an IT environment with an account with this company". But hey, worse thing they could say was "No", so I send the message asking if they could sell me a single GPU, if available. Moments later a sales rep contacts me via email, verifying that they would be willing to sell me one card. They give me many options, though in the higher tier GPU, but they offer them nonetheless. 3070s. 3080s, TITANs, 6800, 6900s.

I asked for a 3070. The sales rep then send me 2 models in stock a 3070ti and 3080ti from ZOTAC. Both listed at MSRP, confirmed by visiting ZOTACs website. Yes, they are a pricier option with slightly better cooling and a higher boost clock. But I don't mind paying for a higher end 3070ti, as long as it is at its true MSRP. I could've waited for other products, but it was a chance and I took it. I can always sell it once the GPU stock across the country settles down. Or if I get lucky getting a Founders Edition 3070.

A small victory in my book, bit pricey, but at least now I won't get as frustrated when I get the daily "You weren't selected for the shuffle" or the "Oops looks like we're sold out" messages.

Nice. I've been stuck on an EVGA waiting list for 3080 since January. How long did you have to wait?

The whole process took a few hours between emails back and forth with the sales rep.
