I'm finally getting my car back together. I learned that black caulk garbage they put around the gas tank access plate melts with good old WD40. A can and a dozen shop rags and all clean. I don't know what I'll use to seal it back up.

Note to self. Buy another tire, mount it on OEM wheel for whenever one of my current wheels is out of commission.

Butyl. Just use anything that is thick and will prevent dust from getting into the cabin doesn't even need to be automotive sealant.
