just got it, now just need to wait for it to finish downloading. it was on super-sale on steam, which is about the only time i get games anyways. $20 for the 'deluxe edition' is a plenty fair price for a little cheap entertainment.

as long as there's not some required co-op missions that i need to organize with people in real life, i can figure it out.

I need a GTX 1650 Super and tried all day today to get one from BB but no drops at all.

A new gpu is no longer a priority for me; other things have taken fiscal priority. Having said that I'm very impressed at how my 1080Ti is performing after all this time.

Yea, same here, I rarely buy a game at release price, particularly since I have a backlog on Steam, Epic and GOG anyway.

If you are into cheap games, I bought a good portion of my recent game purchased through Humble Bundle when they run their charity bundles. It's hit or miss but worth checking out on occasion. You can get some older AAA games pretty cheap though, and gives you a chance to try some new genres without spending serious money. Since it links through Steam its not a separate platform.

Try having nowinstock.net window open to listen when that card becomes in stock. There are a few GPUs in stock at Best Buy but they are way overpriced.

i don't run a headset, so no mic.

i used to do lan parties with a few guys from school. sorta tapered off after everyone moved away. tried to do the remote lan party thing, but none of us are very good at keying up the mic, and the zombies always won faster.

i tend to play farcry with silencers, and go all-or-nothing for the undetected bonus. if i slip and get detected, i let them kill me so i can restart. might not be the most fun to play with a martyr!

All my weapons have silencers. I clear up most strongholds without ever being noticed. You get more cash bonus if you’re undetected and no alarms ever go off.

So you know, I'm doing my occasional GPU search and come across Best Buy. To my surprise they have a few GPUs in stock. But there's a catch, for example; their PNY 1660 Super, which is the GPU that I currently own, is listed for a whopping $540. I got this GPU 5 months ago when the GPU shortage was even worse, for $300. Am I going crazy here or is Best Buy now charging scalper prices for their GPUs? a 6700XT by Gigabyte is listed at $940. Another one at $800. What is going on?

Would have never thought of using Best Buy as my go to reference, but from looking on PriceWatch and MicroCenter those seem to be the going prices, at least for the 6700XT.

Man I wish I had a Microcenter near me. The 6700XT prices, when it comes to special manufacturers such as PowerColor, MSI, etc, have been really high. Same thing for all other models. What blows my mind is the increased, overnight markups from places like Best Buy, which for me, is the only retailer near me. We're talking about a $400 markup on one of their XFX 6700. If retailers are asking for more money, that just means that scalpers will ask for even more. Unless is some sort of weird standoff between retailers and scalpers and see who gives in first. The ones that are affected are the real customers unfortunately
