I put MODERN start buttons in the same trash bin as electronic emergency brakes or stereos with no knobs.

Those are different. Even they were momentary contact. You had to hold them in to keep the starter cranking. Modern pushbutton start initiates a sequence that either cannot, or must be actively aborted with a second action, whatever that may be.

So, I ended up watching some of the Ocho (recorded for faster review).
The Mullet Competition. Brought back hair nightmares from my past. The old guy with the pure mullet that ran almost down to his waist (and he had been rocking it for 20 years) was totally ripped off. Pinball Competition. Moderately interesting, because I did some pinball contests in my Youth, although we never competed on specific tasks, just final score, or length of time played. I was a local legend in my college student union because I once played 8 hours on one quarter and left 99 games on the machine (it wouldn't go past 99 free games). The Avengers machine looks interesting. Rock skipping. Given I can only do about 10 at most folks doing upwards of 50 skips or more a throw was interesting, once. Air Hockey. Basically a bunch of guys playing air hockey in the back of a bar. I watched about 15 seconds. Pogopolooza. Extreme pogo sticks. They all did basically the same tricks, but I couldn't do them. Some epic wipeouts from pretty high up though. Minecraft. It was really just a kid's competition at school, and was probably more interesting to do than to watch. I made it under 1 minute. Air Guitar World Championship. So bad I couldn't look away. The best part of all of them are the announcers trying to make it sound like a serious sport, but dead panning such classics as (at the rock skipping) "You know who would make a good judge for this? The fish. They have the best view and get right in there. I guess they would be hard to train though." If ESPN did this fulltime, with good comedic announcers, I'd be in. Heck I'd even audition for either the play-by-play or the color job. It's not like you need to know the sport.

Do you have anything to add? Have you played around with damper settings?
