My next decision will be does my 60 year old back want to lay on the garage floor for two hours for me to install these myself or do I just pay to have it done

I went with JDL catted UEL. I like that they advertise the header with a Gesi G-Sport cat.

I have no idea what kind of cat is used in the FTspeed factory header. All to their own of course and grats OP on your choice. Between JDL quality and knowing there is a high quality cat I went with JDL.

Also waiting for mine to be made. Ordered about a month ago cant wait!

I know they switched brands so maybe these revised units. Good to know

I really like my catted/coated ft86 header. Enjoy!

In either case I would be running an OFT stage 2 tune.
Take any claims including before/after dyno results with a HUGE grain of salt. *IF* you are competing and a tenth of a second matters to you, a lot, it *might* be worth spending more, but in that case you should really get a custom dialed-in Ecutek tune. But I'm betting that real-world gains from either of these catted UEL options with an off-the-shelf tune vs. '17-'20 factory catted header are not gonna justify the $$$$ and effort. Like around +0hp +/- up top, with maybe some torque dip mitigation in the midrange.
