Don't know if anyone would really know the answer to this, but between the JDL 4-2-1 and the JDL catted UEL would one play better with OFT.
I already have it, so I'm not going to go with something that really needs a custom tune.

Either or, OFT tunes are a generic tune. Thats why if you’re trying to get the most out of your mods, beat way is to get a D.T or CSG tune with ECUTek Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Other than not getting as much out of the header, are there any other big negatives to be concerned with using the OFT instead of say an EcuTek?

Thats about it, is a pretty nifty tool because you can see live data of your car, clear codes and what not. They also keep their value so its a good investment. If you want to get the most out of OFT, consider using your data log and find someone who can send you a custom tune. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The sound output wan’t even much louder over stock either, you only hear it on a cold start or if you have that cabin sound tube unblocked. Ended up getting a catback and am very happy with my choice with the catback not being obnoxiously loud or droney |

OFT favor headers that are similar to what the oft guys use to offer which is UEL based. Plenty of board members offer etunes for OFT. Honestly if you have access to e85 I would rather go ecutek, flex fuel and stay stock with the header. Much better bang for your buck and when your ready for that extra up top you can get a nice 4-2-1 header and get retuned if you feel you need it

The only e85 is in areas that I'm never close to and a 20 mile or so roundtrip for a tank of gas is not something I'm interested in.

Is there by chance already a thread out there that might list some of the people who do custom OFT tunes?

I've narrowed it down to a ceramic coated version of either the FT86 catted UEL or the JDL catted UEL.
There is roughly a $3K price difference between the two, so does anyone have any good reasons that I should spend more to get the JDL over the FT86? In either case I would be running an OFT stage 2 tune.

I would grab the ft86 version. JDL did have some quality issue with there cats in the past

Thanks, I re-watched the Everyday Drive videos on their initial install of the FT86 header and then adding the tune and this really does look like a great option for me.
I don't know how quickly or if I'll get a reply, but I pinged Shiv as well to ask him if there would be any differences of note using the Stage 2 tune between them. I'm ready to make the move at this point, so I won't likely wait long before going ahead and ordering the FT86

Said the hell with it and pulled the trigger.
Definitely went coated and had a discount code to use
