If your selfish attitude puts my family at risk of catching a deadly disease, you’re the asshole, not me. Especially when getting vaccinated has much lower risk factors and occurrences than Covid, and no cost associated with it.

It's all about decreasing the number of petri dishes guaranteed to get it if exposed, and to potentially create a mutation. Even if the vaccine were only 50% effective that greatly reduces the opportunity for variants, and for spreading.

But, you know that.

Florida now has 1 in 5 reported new cases in the US as its daily cases doubled over the last week.

The fourth wave is the one where people are standing and watching, just letting it happen to themselves. The Darwin wave. Also The Gambler wave since it gambles with everyone else's safety against new mutation.

But, you know that.

The arithmetic is not all that demanding. If you're vaccinated, yes, you can catch the virus and, if you catch the virus you can spread it. But, if you're vaccinated you are more than 95% less likely to catch the virus and (here's the hard part) THEREFORE, 95% less likely to incubate a new strain of virus AND 95% less likely to spread whatever you create to someone else than if you're not vaccinated.

For someone with at least a 6th grade education that should not be that hard to understand.

edit: I am convinced that for those that meet the 6th grade threshold, you must be deliberately obtuse not to see that.

That's a big concern that we aren't hearing much about yet besides K-12 mask mandates in my state. I imagine it's partly due to the US southern border illegal immigration crisis that's projected to be 2 million illegals flooding the country this year.

Apparently they aren't being tested at the border for COVID or anything else found in the Americas like tuberculosis. Of those in temporary custody, 30% are said to be refusing a vaccine.

Then they're transported in secret to undisclosed destinations on military aircraft and charter buses with no advance notice to anyone at their targeted destinations, often military bases in red states like Texas, Tennessee and Florida, and so-called sanctuary jurisdictions.

With school starting soon, that's a problem since the illegal kids will be entitled to attend public schools in person. No wonder there's wait lists at private and parochial schools where virtually all DC politicians send their kids.

I truly believe this similar to flat-earthers (and most conspiracy theorists), there is a core group of maybe 10% that truly believe, and 90% of the group that see it as something fun to argue, or something to monetize.
