Yea my friend at autocross suggested that. I'll block the entire thing in the winter, and maybe make a cover with a smaller opening for the summer based on my needs.

Will 255s rub on those wheel specs? (I'm assuming they need small spacers then?)

Completed my first SCCA TT event. I ran one before but the car didn't survive. Learned a lot. Ended up running Max3 since there where no other cars in Max4 and got 3rd, though a long way back from 1st and 2nd in class, a Cayman and a turbo SW20. Had a lot of fun and was going back and forth with an M3 in my class all weekend until his SMG pump failed. Still having cooling issues even with Koyorad. Oil temps look okay so

I had an off last year and messed up the splitter. So I flipped it over and drilled out the brace in the front to take more fasteners. I also added another brace in the rear to support it better. The silver things are the bolt heads. This one is on it's last legs, I will probably build something much sturdier for next year this winter.

Honestly my last car, the mirrors were easier but seemed like they would be harder. I think I was a bit too much in a hurry and running out of vinyl. So I rushed it. Its not very noticeable, of course I know its there and thats the worst part haha. But Im gonna order some more, and Ill redo both mirrors. probably 3M this time because I hear great things about them versus Vivid. I just need to find 3Ms version of texture exterior carbon fiber. But for now it will do. Tomorrow Im gonna wrap my gas door after work. I have a little material left. Enough for the door. I did just like you say, watched a bunch of videos, cant remember the guys name but he has a vinyl shop and all of his videos are very informative. He shows techniques and explains how to fix mistakes, obviously he makes it look much easier than it really is. People say its easier to wrap a part connected to the car, but I tried and wasted many feet haha. Resorted to pulling the mirror covers off and doing it the hard way I suppose. Too afraid to break something or scratch the paint when trimming. Ill get better, just like everything, good things take time. My last mirrors were spot on, so I know I can do better. Obviously Im gonna have to leave the gas door on this time due to the fact that it is riveted ![]() I will take pictures and report back! |

Spacers would help, though I'm not sure how thick you could go before running into issues with rubbing on the outside fender. |
