Actually I'd suggest the BRZ is slightly higher spec.

The interior door handles are shinier (legit actually they are better).

Is the brake booster being electric a similar design as Ford's idea for the Bronco Sport ?

See: 16mins, 34 sec above.
No. I did look on the pictures of the engine bay and the Brake Booster + Master cylinder combo is still there.

An eBooster is a totally different layout (which can integrate even the ABS/ESC module on it), with a brake by wire system (plus push rod for safety reasons)

From https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7881
OEM spare tire with liner foam= 25.8 lbs.
OEM trunk tools, jack, tow hook= 5.8 lbs.

That is 31.6 lbs alone.
That explains why the increase is 30kg from the 86 (1240kg for the 17 inch wheel spec).

Also kinda miffed about the lack of the spare tire. I'd rather have a slightly heavier car and remove the spare at the track . I know barely anyone has to use their spare, however, when you loose a tire 100+ miles away from home and the tow bill is $100+ you'll be wishing you had that spare.

Typical of manufacturers though, they just fill the spare tire well with a foam block with tools and a fix-a-flat kit.
They may have well kept a slot for it. Last time they kept the wheel well and had the tools there with a cover over the top.

Found a video (albeit in Japanese) where someone looks underneath the trunk floor cover in a GR86:

A little after 16:30, you can see they kept the wheel well space below. Personally, I would remove the foam insert and put in a donut/temporary space saver spare from the previous 86/BRZ.

Interesting. I suppose one could take it out of the current gen before trading it in. Easy swap.

The good news is that you can do it yourself, because they have kept the depression.

It will need a threaded location to secure it down with a typical bolt. You don't want a spare flying around in an accident.

Am I missing something or can you only "reserve" a 2022 you can't build and price one? All I see under build and price is the 2020.

You can head to a Subaru retailer and tell them exactly what you want as far as color, trim, and port-installed accessories. They can put in a sold order for you. I'm sure Subaru.com will update in the next few days to allow you to build one, but likely waiting on accessory photos.

I have my order in already and have a VON.

I see what appears to be an amplifier on the OPPOSITE side now.

Or is that the CORRECT side on a right-hand drive or JDM model?

There won't be a performance packge for a while. Gotta hold onto that for the mid cycle refresh.

Homelink/auto dim is a port installed accessory for about $350, I ordered my 22 with it yesterday
