Format change at Silverstone with the first Sprint tomorrow.

Full stands for a Friday session; they have 3 Brits to cheer that made it in the top 8 Qualifying session.
Those Brits were hot on track and loud in the stands today..

Im a bit puzzled as to why they have a practice session before this Sprint race thingy tomorrow, more time to evaluate some settings for Sunday?

Can’t say I remember hearing the crowds cheering over the car sounds on TV before…
Hamilton got them primed pretty well for the rest of this weekend during his qualifying speech.

Wonder if Norris got his watch back from those goons that spooked him?

With all the talk about cost cutting WTF are they thinking with this Sprint Qualifying?
If someone wrecks they need to fix the car.
While that has always been the case when qualifying was the day before a race, the chances of there being a large crash are significantly higher with everyone racing on track vs a qualifying session. Each team was also given an extra 500k to cover costs for the 3 sprints.

I would have waited till next year to implement this.

Will Perez be able to recover some points for RB
They fixed Ham’s car with Tape WTF? They could have replaced the whole wing while the race was stopped.

Every single person that wasn't RB they asked during the broadcast said it was a racing incident.
Stewards need to let everyone race already.
RB Ring penalties were ridiculous too.

If they start punishing for every little touch then the Racers will be neutered in their aggressive instinct that make up for exiting racing.

It will be entertaining to hear from Max and his feelings(and views) about the incident…

I got annoyed with Crofty during the replay. He made the comment “what else could Lewis have done.” I guess I am always annoyed with Crofty though lol

Before Austria I had heard that during the drivers meeting the drivers asked for more leniency with incidents to allow them to race. Seems like it is worse.

Note the jerk he gave the wheel seen in the onboard shot.

Keep in mind this is the guy who intentionally slowed down on purpose to try to get Rosburg into an incident at COTA.
