They are the same shifter, but yes, I have the JDM TRD shifter.

The JDM TRD and STI short shifters are the same. It is the US TRD shifter that is different (and worse, according to all opinions).

How did you guys to get yours to stop vibrating? I have a DSS Aluminum as well and it is a hunk of shit. Has been balanced twice, vibrates terribly above 100mph. So bad I can't even see out of the rear view mirror. As far as I am aware, the light weight along with the thickness of the shaft material make it to where the critical speed is too low and it is not possible to resolve. Went back to stock. I won't even give this thing away, I will cut it up and toss it in the scrap dumpster.

Many people think they are the same, but it's not. STi is 4 mm longer, TRD 8 mm.
Check comparison with stock one.

Whoa, cool! Meaning that the TRD is the bottom one and the STI is the middle one?

Do you happen to have the part numbers both them?

The two I had in my hands were identical. Doesn't matter. Any of them will work with a C.F. driveshaft.

And neither one of them make enough of a difference in shifting to justify the price.

guessing you checked the U-joint on both sides were solid? I haven't taken mine above 100 mph yet the road/hwy around me have too many potholes if that's where you start to see vibrations. Nothing below 95mph?

It has done it since new, but yes, both shops checked and inspected it when rebalancing.

I can move it around between 100-105mph but that is about it.

Just dug up the receipt and verified I have the JDM TRD 8mm short shifter, and the DSS carbon shaft. No issues.
