It also had a huge amount of white space (unused space) when in use. It was like looking at an iPhone optimized app on an iPad.

Absolutely, there's also a lot of room for error when selecting controls and functions on a touch screen compared to analog controls. Even from that picture, I would have to take my eyes off the road for a dangerous amount of time to change the temperature, given that I select it correctly and not press the seat temperature. Then there's the glare during night time, given that it could be adjustable, it still pertains certain risks. Nonsense. These screens are just pure nonsense.

To be fair theres only so much you can do to a truck's grille to keep the family resemblance with a ginourmous front fascia ingulfing design and lighting.

Same with the rear...with the central tailgate having to open you only get 2 skinny pieces of steel flanking the tailgate opening to work with.

I cannot support this competition between truck makers to produce the ugliest truck.

It needs to end. The Americans are still kings of ugly trucks but this is a major step forward toward standing on the same podium.

P.s. I love my 2019 Ranger.

Yea, but it also doesn't have to have a ginormous front fascia, either. Maybe it's time trucks went through a retro phase.

GM, let's do a '47 or '55 modern look alike!

Didnt GM try that with the SSR?

of course they completely botched the execution....making basically a car that looked like a retro truck.

I think the next truck fascia trend needs inspiration from a blue whale.

OK, maybe I should have said a "real attempt".

GM, let's do a '47 or '55 modern look alike!

But if you scaled the '47 or '55 up to modern truck dimensions you are right back to that whole massive grill thing!

They ain't exactly tiny.

Maybe '60 or '70?

I did think of that, but at least it would have some style and not a piece of plywood plowing through the wind.

I'd be OK with the models you suggest as well.

I wish they would reveal this already.
The teases seem pointless after the initial leak. Especially when they just went and fully unveiled the truck in its entirety when it happened, instead of pretending it didnt happen like the 2022 NX leak.
