i gave mine up voluntarily. no reason to keep something i have more fun finding creative ways to lose anyways.

Back in the day he Army ID card issued to enlisted personnel just said "Man" on it (doubt they do anymore though) instead of any rank. Warrant officers and up said "NCO" and Commissioned Officers said "Off". When I took my commision I had to go to the local Military Police office and get the updated ID done. They took great joy in announcing that I was there to turn in my Man card!
