I don't want to buy the car but I will if I have to.
I don't work in stupid tech with monopoly money dollars to throw around to buy one and prep it and then write a letter to not class it in STX. |

Run in open! Surprised at how large STX is for nats compared to tour events.

Anybody going to Toledo or nats intestered in a set of Muteki SR48's (unused) and/or a bunch of Dorman studs?
I swapped over to M12x1.5's in my car. |

Not a bad idea, I'll keep that in mind if I swap studs.
I'd like to go to Toledo, but we're just not ready to do that level of event yet. Hope to see you there next season.

Yeah. I ordered ARP's late last year and gave up after waiting about 6 months. I had a few nuts seize in that interim and found parts store 1.5's with the same knurl that were readily available (Dorman 610-414). So that is a slight upgrade for under a buck and a half per stud. Another positive is that virtually every Mopar the last quarter decade uses these studs, so you can pretty much walk in any parts store and get a replacement if need, whereas the BRZ studs are a bit rare.
If you wanted ARP's in the 1.5's, you can get Evo studs if you want really long studs or 80's Celica GTS studs if you want just a touch longer than stock. |

Hey Guys, I'm considering installing some Poly Steering Rack bushings. Looking at the ones from Whiteline. Just curious if anyone in this group have installed these before and can comment if it makes any improvement in steering feel?

I went with diftech delrin bushings, I felt no improvement and slightly regret them. I presume poly would be even less noticeable.
If it was legal the bolt on clamping 'lockouts' would've been my choice and I would have likely uninstalled and sold them eventually. Might make more of a difference if your car is more stock but the stx springs and alignment have a way bigger impact on feel. But they're cheap and plenty of people swear by them |

I did the the Whiteline rack bushings, well after the majority of my stx setup. Similar experience to above, no major noticeable change, steering may be a hair sharper, but that could also just be a placebo effect. If I didn't have a lift making accessibility easy, I wouldn't have gone through the effort to install them.

Does anyone know approximately how much a time gap there is between RE71R and A052 on an STX twin on a 60 sec course? I am wondering in case there is no A052 stock available.

I'm guessing the Yoko's are at least 1 second faster on a 6o second course, than the Re71's. Expensive, they wear very quickly. but max grip is better and are more forgiving at the limit. They feel noticeably "mushier" in transitions. I felt the improvement on my first run with them. They like lots of camber. Run pressures a little higher than the Re71's.
