Are you going to make me rewatch the video? I was having a "few" beers that night and don't completely remember. I believe it was Batavia(modern Jakarta, Indonesia) a costal port town where the reading was taken.

We had a telegraph cable across the Atlantic 20 years before that. I could believe a barometer was being monitored at a port town at that era.

My first job at 15 was picking rocks out of a disk'd hay field. I think I would have rather stared at a barometer.

At 15? I was half that when I was doing it. Still would prefer it from staring at a barometer.

It was a great question! I've seen lots of dead axles with sub-frame-mounted torsion bars but my search for new car stuff ends at this forum.

HEY I made 25 cents an hour!
My first real job was pumping gas, changing oil and installing tires. I was a ripe old 13 by then though. Got all the way up to $3 an hour.

TL;DR: I work in information security. Bad guys pushed ransomware via a bug in device management software that affected very large customers and resulted in a claimed 1 million computers being encrypted.
wow, now that's a hack.

Frankly I'd much rather live in my current home than that, regardless of the amount of money I had to spend.

If I had stupid money to throw at a house, I'd want something like the house Dwayne Johnson has up for sale about 3 miles from where I live now.

Except I would want it on a lake somewhere.
i've worked in a house like that. i've never run out of breath walking from the parking area to the master bedroom in any other house, but that one, i needed a breather.

i honestly can't justify any house over 1 million. even if i had the money, i just don't see the point. i'd rather own a barn/warehouse that size. at least i could run go carts/cars indoors there.

but really, if i could afford a $1+ million house, i'd stay where i'm already at and retire to travel the world for a little while.

I kid you not... This fire damaged house sold for $1M in silicon valley. One million does not buy much in large parts of California.
