BTW, how is your Mom doing?
It was in the high 70s in San Jose. Mom is doing pretty good. Just very lonely and bored. Still can't talk her into living with us, so she just keeps reorganizing her stuff.

i was surprised to hear the prime minister of haiti was assasinated as well

https://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/07...sinated-killed

not exactly sure that that means, as i didn't think haiti was in a lot of unrest leading up to this. but it's not like i normally keep up on haiti...

Weird how minds work (or don't).
I find that singing "It's a Small World" from the ride of the same name almost always cures this problem....

"Song?" Sorry...songs have melody and harmony. Not sure what that was, but it sure wasn't a "song." I wouldn't even classify it as music, Maybe "Rhythmic Rhyming Softcore Porn for Those Who Dig Big Sleezy Women." Yeah.,,,that's it.

Once it gets rolling, stuff you might take in a stride just hits that much harder. Sucks. Hang in there - it's still sunshine and happiness somewhere out there for you. Maybe not today.
I'm bracing for the house eating a new car in the next month or two. In addition to the failed a/c, garage roof is leaking. It's flat, with a deck and a bit built on top (common in Chicago). And work needed on the deck too in spots. It's just money. Hopefully no more health issues crop up.

Annoying background music warning.

I don't think I will ever get sick of watching Toni Bou ride a motorcycle. I don't think he is human or he has some back to the future technology hidden somewhere.

When you get older, you won't have that problem. Within a few days (sometimes hours) you won't even remember what was playing in your head or that you were trying to remember it -

That is freaking crazy!

In my late teens and early 20s I only ever rode motorcycles. My first bike was a Honda XL250 (the first model). I would practice riding slowly. When approaching a red light I would leave putting my feet on the ground until I lost balance. And every time I left an intersection I would have my feet on the pegs before moving off. People who still had their feet on the ground across an intersection used to make me shake my head in disgust.
I would ride trails and look for rocky ascents and descents just for fun.

I went to a local trials meeting and was offered a ride over a relatively easy section. Yeah, I was thinking, I'll have a bit of a clue as to what to do. Hahaha... stupid youth. The steering and throttle response was nothing like what I was used to. To say I was out of my depth is a bit of an understatement.

I'll bet he is bored and lonely - where is he going to find a place to ride to challenge him or find anyone to ride with him? -

Track standing is fun. I do it all the time but it is a lot harder on a motorcycle then a bicycle. I do the same thing at stoplights. I have a lot easier time on my mountain bike then my motorcycle.

I have only gotten to mess around a couple times in a parking lot on a trials bike. They are unique machines. The one I took apart was an 05' or so. The clutch had an automotive style pressure plate. The 6 speed transmission only had like 4 gears in it. I was scratching my head trying to figure out how that worked.

She grew up in Lindsay in the central valley. At 107° she would still have her sweater on.
