Today I learned that if you want the hit of a Crunchie bar but can't manage a whole bar don't go for the Crunchie Rocks but get the M&S honeycomb chocolate bites.. M&S is the exact mini version of the bigger bar.. Cadburys own version is crap!!!

Apparently Alienware goes on sale sometimes. I learned that, and I also learned how being impulsive and buying said Alienware devices can quickly spiral into: "what does a few hundred more dollars hurt".

I have 3 sons. They all went thru the little league hierarchy. Painful at times. Kinda like soccer.

Mine too. Twin boy and girl, both went through the rotation at the same time. My "Today I Learned" moment from years of watching was that the concession food was outstanding.

Since when? You have the extra made-up time by the ref. Never know how much.

Every baseball Little League game my kids played in had a time limit as well. Too many games scheduled back-to-back to do otherwise.

Mine played a lot of different sports, but my favorite to go watch was always Roller Hockey. Kids out of control, with sticks, great stuff.

Having coached two age groups (6-9 and 10-14) in roller hockey for over 7 years, I can attest to the entertainment value of youth roller hockey...

The variance in skating ability is the first major hurdle, followed closely the tendency to swarm the puck...

But once they begin to pass and learn positions and strategy, the play advances so quickly it is a joy!

I will say I looked at the parents whose kids played soccer with envy... keeping track of all the gear and suiting up the young ones is a major hassle!

2 of my 3 sons played through both those age groups. By the time they got to 14, it was a very fast paced game.

I was an assistant coach in most of the years my kids played hockey.

My middle son was hell on wheels. He is of short stature (even as an adult he's under 5' 5" tall) and at times he played with kids that were a foot or more taller than him. He skated circles around them, partially because I don't think they say him as a threat at first. In his last 15 game season he had a hat trick in 9, and had multiple hat tricks in 5 of those.

He was devastated when there was no further place to go locally after age 14. It isn't a school sport here (don't know if it is anywhere) and at that time no adult leagues.

No ice hockey either? That was my primary sport.
