On a positive note, we are now in stage 2 of our 3 part re-opening. Hair and nail places are swamped, operating at reduced capacities. Still patio dining only, I think. I'm going to take a drive downtown today, leave the park the F-RS at a meter, walk 2-3 kms along the art and fashion district, maybe peruse a record store. Then, get a jerk pork sandwich on cocoa bread. Lots of unusual looking people around, especially walking past the mental hospital. Cool today, 22C/73F.
Anyone have neighbours with a US flag cake on Sunday? Too much red dye#3, we don't do that but it's kinda nice in movies, usually.

I celebrated Canada Day because I love my neighbors to the North.

A little sugar beet juice will take care of that for you.

Or you can make old school red velvet cake which is a mixture of cocoa, buttermilk and vinegar rather than food coloring.

Red velvet cake, mmm. Any rebuttal to an objection to cake and I'm eating the cake. A nice piece of something with a lot of chocolate from Cheesecake Factory would help me tip the scale just about now.

It's called "mutation" my friend.. I think we may have arrived at the "Cheesecake" variant..

Getting back to the subject, interesting watching the Euro Football, the games have been held in various European cities and one Russian. The crowds in the stadium varying from country to country.

England playing in Rome today (big game), the press are concerned that there won't be many English supporters, anyone travelling from the UK has had their tickets cancelled...

Just stopping in to say we have had a big increase in COVID cases in the ED compared to months back. Most are unvaccinated. Many are semi serious. A few are ICU patients in their 30’s or older. Seems like the Delta variant is worse based on the severity of these case, which are in mostly people under 65.

Everybody I asked said it's over, even liberals, so guess it's time to go back to normal life.
