2017+ vs pre 2017 OEM Catback differences

I'm planning to have a custom catback made from the OEM midpipe. Since I want to keep my OEM parts unaltered I'm planning on getting a used OEM midpipe and experiment on it. Just wanted to know if there are any differences in OEM catbacks between pre 2017 and 2017+ models, or differences between manual and auto?

The flange is wider on the facelift models.

Correction: midpipe to axleback junction is wider on the facelift models.

So the flange where midpipe connects to the front pipe is the same? If that's true, then I'll be fine with pre 17 midpipe. Since the rear section will be cut anyway.

Yes, they are the same. Full cat backs fit all years. Axle back only is where the compatibility issue is.
