Having to consider cutting away once was enough for me to walk away from the sport. Hadn't even progressed to freefall. Fourth static line jump. You guys are animals.
And it was my aircrew training that got me untwisted. Hobby instructors never even showed me that trick.

Welp, folks, I've got my chores all caught up. Yep, farm chores. Our daughter and family are vacationing at Grand Canyon and Las Vegas, so I had to go down and let their chickens (about a dozen of them) out of the hen house into a yard.
I then discovered they got a milk delivery and since I didn't take the house key, I had to go back down and take in the milk. Now I will have to go down at dusk and lock the chickens in the hen house, so as the racoons and coyotes don't eat them. It's 92 degrees F outside (which is hot for these parts) and mrs humfrz has the AC cranked up so as I could dry age beef in this house. So, it's nap time -

We almost bought that exact one not too long ago for MomHawk's "yoga studio" in the basement.

Managed to fix the cruise control in our Suburban today!
I had changed out the full tails about two years ago for LED ones from Spyder. Real nice units with built-in resistors so no fast blink and no cutting of wires. We took a trip about two months later and the cruise control stopped working. I didn't really think much about it, except well it is an '04, things are gonna break. Well, thanks to a little interweb searching, it turns out that if the passenger side brake light stops working, it knocks out your cruise control on GM products of that time. LED taillight means not enough power for it to realize there is a bulb there. The new tails have resistors, but ONLY for the turn signals. I still didn't want to cut wires, in case that wasn't the issue. So I ordered one of these bad boys. Two days and 5 minutes later I have Cruise Control back! The aggravating part is two local dealers couldn't tell me what was wrong with it. Surely they had seen burnt out bulbs cause the CC to go out, but whatever. Since we use the Suburban mainly for trips of 200 miles or more it will be great to have it back!
