Wait until you start doing the new ACFT and people pass out at the deadlift.

I had to take it a month before I got out, cuz fck me that's why. I t was fun more than anything. APFT failures suddenly started doing good and APFT studs struggled at the final run, deadlift, SDC.

It's interesting to see how troops handle it. I proposed something similar to or in college back in 2010 as I felt deadlifts and overhead press would be more important than sit ups and pushups.

I never saw how doing a lot of sit ups and pushups made me fit for a job that requires much more than that. The ACFT makes more sense when applied to real world situations. What a lot of the joes that I was training lacked was form. Some would pass out, get dizzy, or completely sucked at any type of lifting.

I'd suggest you add a half gallon vodka and a couple bottles of tonic - for the hotter part of the days.

Yup! The only thing relevant we did at my unit was pull ups. And that was more for pulling your parachute risers than actually getting over anything lol.
