It is supposed to be close to 100-110F here in Salem this weekend. I am headed up on the pass to go camping where it should only be 90F.

Yea, I noticed a lot of Oregon has red flag warning. No a/c?

I plan on just sitting in the a/c. My heart condition doesn't care for extreme heat. As long as the power doesn't go out I'll be fine.

In what way? I've driven mine plenty of times in Atlanta 100+ degrees and 100% humidity.

I normally do but haven't had a chance to get with my landlord to get it installed. Makes my morning spin session on the exercise bike much more of a workout.

Last time I took the car on a long distance drive, it was on a 80+ degree with 80+ humidity, the car struggled to gain momentum and just felt very sluggish, like it couldn't properly intake air. I figured it was because of the high humidity and heat. Or it could've been the highway, it was rough.

Many don't. Jeez, I'd be afraid to go camping/hiking in this kind of heat. Did I do it in NM, or was it just cooler at higher elevations? Used to backpack all over hell and creation.

Went back to visit Albuquerque a few years ago. Scary dry. Everything's dying.

It will be much cooler at elevation, especially at night. We will be out at a high mountain lake so I will be planting my chair out in the water.

I have noticed a huge difference between cool dry air and hot humid air. It can be startling sometimes since we can get such massive swings with only a few hours between them.
