Went to the track today. Ran a set of SX2's back to back against a set of RT660's. The 660's where 2sec/min quicker on a track I had only driven for the second time in 3 years. Very good feel, sidewalls seem decently stiff even when I took the car out on it's warm up laps with 30psi cold pressure. They seem to be happy at 35-37 psi hot. Got a little greasy at the end of 20 min but they didn't drop off hard as they got hot. Ambient today was in the high 80's.

I also tested running my GTC200 with the factory spoiler with a Perrin gurney flap. Then removed the gurney flap, then the stock spoiler. Definitely made a difference but I say the drag penalty from running those other parts isn't worth what you gain. Car felt a bit looser but I preferred it that way as it was easier to rotate in the fast corners. I removed the risers from this GTC200 so it sits 3.25 inches lower then out of the box. Much happier with this setup.

Also forgot to mention was my first time running E85 on track. Holy hell what a difference. I am actually quite happy with the power the car makes now. Downside is I noticed I need to upgrade my radiator. I was hitting close to 240F and having to cool the car down or just pull off the rest of the session. I started noticing last couple years I could hit 230F on water temps and though it was an issue with my cooling stack. Nope, still not better. Koyo Rad on the way.

Vanity plates finally arrived and gave it a much needed wash after back-to-back weekend road trips.

Any issues running E85 on the track? Did you notice fuel starvation? (E85 + 660s tires)

I have been running the Verus fuel flap. No issues on this track, the one I am running on 7/17 will be the real test as it has a long sustained left hander.

My car is also splitter, diffuser, and medium wing.

I have the flapper and at Cressen through Horseshoe, Boot Hill, Tombstone(all one big left around 270 deg) it will starve coming out if below 3/4 tank.

-Disconnect battery.

-Dry-clean: Use a shop-vac on reverse (or a blower attachment from an air compressor) to blow away loose dust from entire engine bay.

-Protect: Cover alternator and engine block with garbage bag.

-Degrease: Spray degreaser on surfaces in the engine bay and on the underside of the hood that I want cleaned - avoiding any electrical wiring. Agitate the degreaser with a soft brush to loosen the grease/dirt.

-Rinse: Use a garden hose on the MIST setting to gently rinse away the degreaser. Don't use a high pressure stream or a pressure washer.

-Dry: Using the shop-vac on reverse again, blow away the a water from the areas you rinsed.

-Detail: Remove the plastic bag. Now with a rag and degreaser, use some elbow grease to gently clean any area that was covered by the plastic bag and anything you may have missed.

-Dress up: Using your favourite plastic/rubber protector spray and a clean rag, apply some to any dull plastic cover and rubber hoses to restore their shine. Not really required for newer cars, but might be a good idea for cars that have seen a lot of mileage.

-Reconnect battery.

-Admire your OCD.

I am thinking I will be okay, the big constant radius turn I take a shallow entry and double apex it. I guess I will find out for sure on the 17th. I would like to have that sorted before the SCCA TT even at that track at the end of July.
