I like the BRZ in bright colors. I like the 86 in darker colors. Hmmmm.
I would take the BRZ in white or red. I think the 86 in grey or blue. |

Yes, we know, and you have, many many times. We get it. But can't you let the rest of us just have a good time without your poo-pooing?

Ugm, OK I'll say it, it's butt ugly.
I think @Tcoat's description is pretty accurate. The front of both BRZ/86 have lost all their uniqueness between them and in the marketplace as it is now just a me-too car, the side profile is ruined by the running board thing, which I guess would be useful if you were doing your 20's mobster impression, and the backend is generically painful. Now, all that said, I'm sure it still drives great, and I'm glad the OEMs are continuing to support the platform. I don't hate the car, but its just not something I'm willing to drive because I don't like the looks. YMMV and that's fine. There are lots of cars people love I think are butt ugly (insert any Miata here).

But posting that you hate how it looks a few times per week on something like 10 different threads does feel like a broken record sometimes. It's your right though, sure. Or maybe it's not an issue for folks who don't follow the forum and just create the 15th new thread asking "HOW DO I SWAP AN FA24 INTO A 1ST GEN TELL ME NOW" when they feel like it ![]() FWIW, among my friends so many have already converted from "yuck, the 2nd gen is so ugly" to "... you know what, it's actually pretty good". |

I sort of agree. More specifically I think the proportions of the 1st gen are very good but some of the detail work was weird (head/tail lights, mouth guards, fender vents). The 2nd gen keeps the good proportions and has more refined detail work IMO. |

What I *meant* was exactly what I asked: "At a certain point, though, do you wonder what you're doing here on [the "All-New 2022 BRZ" sub-]forum for a car that you know you aren't remotely interested in?" I didn't say you should leave. Of course you're free to hate on the '22 BRZ here as often as you like. I will say that there are *tons* of cars over the years that have massively disappointed me (including gen 1 FT86), but I didn't go on and on about it in the forums dedicated to those cars for some reason. At least I don't think I did? Maybe I did a little bit... Quote:

Looks to be a Levorg STI.

The Levorg is kinda underwhelming, IMO. The 1.8T is tuned for fuel efficiency rather than fun, it generally lacks the sports wagon proportions (tall and narrow body). The CVT is the final nail in the coffin that it is just a dressy package on a humdrum Impreza wagon. If they came with WRX running gear, itd be a different story.
