Looking over some videos of the FUJI 86 event and noticed that this blitz car has a completely neutral trunk lid as opposed to the small spoiler of the stock car, looks quite nice in my opinion (also can't ignore that quad exhaust)

My friend spotted this in Northern California along a road called Pescadero Creek Rd. Pretty famous spot for twisties, this branches off a main road well known to locals as HWY84/ La Honda.

There was a camera crew and another Red GR86 but my friend was only able to take a pic of the white one because an Escalade was charging up to shoo him away in his WRX STI.

So they're getting ready to promo and/or early drives, nice!

I'm still not liking the look of this car. The OG looks more aggressive while this one looks more happy. I think I'd like it more if it didn't have Acura taillights and if the headlights looked more like the 1st gen.

Even with the improved performance numbers,I just can't get excited for this car.

Then it would look too much like the old car. Best that it has its own look, no matter if that isn't going to please everyone.

I think that's my problem with it, it doesn't have its own look, they've gone more generic with it.

I think I agree with this.
I dont hate the looks of the car mind you, I do find it looks more refined and smoother than the first gen, but IMO its lost all the personality of the first gen while ending up literally looking like a mini-RCF (since almost all the exterior details looks like they just got snagged off the Lexus)

generic or not, if you see one on the road you ain't mistaking it for anything other than a twin... otherwise time for bifocals

The 1st gen 86 also looked like a mini-Lexus (LFA) and nobody had a problem with that.

Exactly! It has some of the same shape of the 1st gen,but the lights look like they were lifted from other vehicle and it doesn't really have it's own identity, with the taillights being the biggest offender.

The 1st gen design is a great look, and it stands on it's own. I'm not too sure that the 2nd gen will, but at least it's getting better performance numbers out of the box,so at least there's that.

I thought I was the only person that saw that comparison.
