That course really negates most of the advantages a turbo would have. It's mostly back to back sweeping turns so maintaining momentum would be more important then outright power. No surprise to me.

Ice mode is scary as heck. Simply no response. Does indeed feel like you're on ice. I've only hit cones from it, but very nearly a person... Nope, just the light pole, ooh finally maybe just the coal bin? Missed even that by 3 inches. That one was in the rain so the sudden lack of braking meant way too fast for conditions...

Haven't tried it on the 17 but 100% ice mode problems like mad with pedal dance in the 14 when I was trying to get it to work. I suspect suspension, surface, and technique all play a role. I was locking up one wheel in the same spots with abs disabled. But ice mode spooked me so bad I gave up.


Also years ago my wife hit someone trying to stop going up a steep hill in the rain and a sudden stop. Just sudden loss of brakes. Honda said she was full of it... I now know it was just ice mode. (That road was horrid too so perfect conditions)

isn't ice mode only available on the automatic cars? i thought it just altered the transmission shifting points to improve traction in a theoretical sense.

now i'm curious to try it...
