GR 86 sound from outside the car accelerating (time stamp 0:46 - 0:56) for what it's worth...

Jumps to inside the cabin and it's definitely "enhanced" , I wonder if it's a soundaktor?

They said it’s using the sound system speakers, not a separate one like VW’s soundaktor. They also said you can turn it off.

Fake it till you make it!

With the bigger displacement and still high revving engine, its definitely got better potential for exhaust note depth.

Some of the cars shown at that recent show sounded GREAT.

My understanding is the engine sound is not synthesised, approximately the 2 minute mark the question is asked.

Yup. Ken confirms the sound is "all natural." I assumed this meant no piping and no artificial noise coming from the speakers.

More questions about sound . . .

In this video at the 7:35 mark he talks about engine sound (anyone speak japanese?) the auto translate seems to infer the sound is generated but there is no radio in the car . . .

Yup. The outside of the car is not that loud at all. Inside, it sounds like it has a modified exhaust. The synthesizer is 100% on.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I don't think you can tell from THAT outside shot as its still spooling up and its only the high RPM that the sound seems to come on in the cabin.

In fact just before the camera changes away from the outside it does seem like its getting a decent little sound workings its way up. In my opinion anyway.

Ken saying its all natural (and clearly knowing a lot about the car) is very confusing - particularly after being told by Hagerty that its not.

I may have missed this bit of info as I skip around, but why are we even discussing this? Hasn't it been confirmed that this is a sound you can turn on and off? People get the best of both worlds, which is more than most cars have to offer, so what's the problem?
