The extremes are typically dictated by the geometry of the dampers and bump stops, not springs. When you press the wheel into the car with a few tons of force, or pull it out, the spring doesn't really matter anymore

Anyone have a silver car with the station bronze. I am eyeing these wheels and want to go bold but not sure it's gonna work. Next choice I know will look good is the anthracite color. But it's not bold.

This is the first production run for the new 17x9" ET35, so there aren't any in the wild just yet. The wheels will look exactly the same as the existing 17x9" ET42 ARC-8, only they will sit 7mm closer to the front and rear fenders resulting in a slightly more aggressive fitment with added front strut clearance. Both being 9" wheels, tires will be supported exactly the same.

That is correct. Unfortunately the ARC-8 cannot have a concave face profile in these 86/BRZ specs and still clear brakes.

Our forged EC-7R has a good amount of concavity to it while still clearing the PP Brembo brakes as well as many other aftermakret BBK's.

Curious if it was possible to utilize those extra 7 mm of brake clearance and get the face profile slightly concave?
Naively, a rectangle spoke could be turned into a bit of a parallelogram...
But I understand that it's not that simple to design wheels that are still light and strong.

Either way, it's great to see that ARC-8s are now available with two different offsets!

I switched my offset today to the 35mm offset just to give myself some extra clearance

Still enjoying my OG dual drill pattern Arc-8’s! A friend spun my car at the track and we went sideways through some dirt/rocks but the wheels held up great with just a few deep scratches on one. I just mounted up a new set of tires (Champiro SX2 in 235/40/17) and no problems with the wheel.

For the shorter gearing in the canyons (more fun) and also because these SX2’s weigh so much to begin with.
