Which is he trying to do...

lower intake temps or lower coolant temps?

Coolant temps can be lowered with a more efficient radiator and intake temps can be lowered with a FMIC.

It seems like he's got a bit of an engineering mind set but doesn't fully understand the system he's looking to modify. A potentially dangerous combo lol.

I don't know how to fully describe this guy, he's just very odd.

They talked about EVs but only the ugly crossover thing they are building with Subaru. The rest of it they stuck to their party line with a "wait and see" attitude. They also pointed out multiple times that they sell more hybrids than anyone else multiple times.

Also by cooling the intercooler with either water or CO2.
Water spray cooling I think would be good for low pressure track car because one can adjust the boost pressure when the spray activates. My impression of the CO2 spray is for high power/high pressure monsters. Max power, drag car type cars.

And he will sell thousands to guys with exactly that same mindset. "Well it sounds effective I must have it to go with my FI that is running 40lbs boost"

He did try to convince me, and another coworker to use our cars as guinea pigs.

This is going to yield wildly unspectacular results, IAT reduction isn't going to be the gain he thinks it is. The air can only shed so much heat in the amount of time it takes for it to run through that exchanger, no matter how cold you get it. It's an interesting idea and if he is passionate about it, more power to him. I love the big bold "Supports 1000HP!!!" on the intercooler page. Seems to me it would be easier just to go water-meth injection.
